The overall condition of the schirmmütze is very good. It has a nice shape and shows overall normal signs of wear. No real big issues/damages on the fabric. The leather liner is fully intact and the visor sits solid in place. The sweatdiamond is also present and marked by Its maker ‘Johannes Gappa’. The liner is unit marked with ‘II.Abteilung Artillerie Regiment 32’. This regiment was part of the 32.Infanterie-Division and participated in the invasion of Poland. Was then send to Belgium and after that to France. After France it moved to East Prussia and then to Russia were it fought in areas like Demjansk, Newel, Pleskau and Kurland. The size is approx. 56.
