The grouping shows overall signs of wear. Walter Hoffmann served within the 1.Kompanie Leibstandarte SS Adolf Hitler. He was killed in action on the 12th of April 1941 in Greece. 
The grouping consist out of; 

  • Postcard size Portrait of Walter in his combat tunic. Note the LssAH shoulder strap split ons and the colorized EKII ribbon. 
  • 3 Photographs of which 2 where taken during free time in a bar and 1 during guard duty.
  • Newspaper deadnotice of Walter Hoffmann.
  • Photograph of a SS cemetery in Greece where Walter has been burried.
  • Cluse up photograph of Walters grave with his helmet laying on his grave (the photograph is damaged and repaired).
  • Feldpost from Walter to his parents. 
  • 9 Photographs of different size of probably his brother.
