The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the Technische Kompanie Flugzeugführerschule Schönwalde. A Flugzeugführerschule was a pilot training school. This schule was formed in Janury 1935 in Hennigsdorf as Fliegerausbildungsstelle Hennigsdorf. It moved to Schönwalde in Januray 1937 and was renamed into Fliegerausbildungsstelle Schönwalde. It stayed in Schönwalde until August 1943 and was then absorbed by the Flugzeugführerschule A/B 125.
The schule used a lot of different aircrafts such as the Ar66, Fw44 and He72.
