The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted in the Stammkompanie Werfer Ersatz und Ausbildungs Abteilung 2. This abteilung was formed in April 1943. It trained and supplied soldiers for different Nebel units.
In September 1944 the abteilung was absorbed within Nebel Ersatz Regiment 1. A new Abteilung was formed in November 1944.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
