Very nice and harder to find Gebirgs-Pionier erkennungsmarke in used, but excellent condition.
The tag shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Stammkompanie Gebirgs Pionier Ersatz Bataillon 83. This bataillon was formed in February 1940 in Schwarz, Tirol. It was part of the Division 188.
The bataillon trained and supplied soldiers for Pionier Bataillon 5,99,676 and Gebirgs-Pionier-Bataillon 83,95,99.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
Hard to find tag.
