Very nice aluminium Wehrmacht Pionier related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who srved in the Stabskompanie Pionier Bataillon 751. This unit was formed in November 1939 as Pionier Bataillon 751 z.b.V. (zur besonderen Verwendung). It was a Minier-Bataillon. In 1941 it was renamed into Pionier Bataillon 751. It was put into action as part of the 4.Armee under the command of Heeresgruppe Mitte in Russia. It fought in Russia until it got destroyed and was eventually disbanned in late Agust 1944. The bataillon was reformed again in October 1944 and became part of the 6.Armee and was put into action in Hungary.
Stabs level Pionier tag are a bit harder to find then normal Pionier tags.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
