Very nice Wehrmacht Grenadier related woundbadge in black award document in used, but good condition.
The document or 'Urkunde' shows overall normal signs of wear. The woundbadge in black was awarded to Obregefeiter Franz Strigl who served in the Stabskompanie I.Bataillon Grenadier Regiment 42. This regiment was formed in October 1935 as Infanterie Regiment 62 and was part of the 7.Infanterie-Division and saw its first action during the invasion of Poland in SEptember 1939. After that it participated in the invasion of Belgium, France and from 1941 onwards in Russia.

The Verwundetenabzeichen in Schwarz was awarded on the 25th of March 1944.
