The number 64842 refers to Fallschirm Korps Pionier Bataillon of the XI.Fliegerkorps and from December 1944 also to the Stabskompanie I.Bataillon Fallschirmjager Pionier Regiment 21. In March 1945 the regiment was renamed Fallschirm-Pionier-Bataillon z.b.V. Hermann Göring.
