The postcard shows overall minor signs of wear. Size of the postcard is 14cm x 9cm. Hermann was SS-Standartenführer within the SS-Kavallerie-Brigade when he earned the Ritterkreuz in March 1942. He earned the Oakleafs as a SS-Oberführer of Kampfgruppe in December 1942. In July 1943 Hermann was awarded the Oakleaf swords as Kommandeur 8.SS-Freiwilligen Kavallerie Division "Florian Geyer".
