Very nice press photograph in good condition of Knights Cross winner Eduard Crasemann.
The photographs shows overall normal signs of wear. It's complete with paper caption on the back. Crasemann was the commander of the 26.Panzer-Division and is here seen during a 'Ausbildungslehrgang' or training moment. Note the camouflaged helmet of the dugged in soldier, the 26.Panzer-Division insignia on the crusher cap of the general and on the M43 cap of the panzer officer in the back.
Also note the 'Afrika' cufftitle on his left cuff. Pictures with this second type of Afrika cufftile are rare to find.
Crasemann earned the Ritterkreuz in late December 1941 during the Afrika campaign. He also earned the Afrika cufftitle, Deutsches Kreuz in Gold, Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub, Die Wehrmachtbericht and a bunch of World War 1 awards.
The size of the photograph is 13cm*18cm. Dated 28 December 1944!
