Very nice and hard to find SS Unterführerschule related tag in used condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It's broken, but complete and both parts are solid. It belonged to a soldier who served/was drafted into the SS Unterführerschule Radolfzell. This school was formed in early 1941 and was led by SS‑Sturmbannführer Thomas Müller. The main training focus was training of Panzergrenadier, schwere Infanteriewaffen and Panzer‑ und Infanterieabwehr.
Graduates and instructors were deployed directly to the front lines. At the end of 1944, the SS Regiment Radolfzell was formed in Radolfzell, later followed by combat groups that were active in the Upper Rhine, Colmar and Lake Constance regions during the final days of the war.
Hard to find tag!
