The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear however its solid. Made out of inox or Edelstahl. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 14.Kompanie Grenadier Regiment Theodor Körner 2. which was part of Infanterie-Division Theodor Körner. This division was formed in April 1945 from 7500 RAD men and the remnants of the 215.Infanterie-Division.
In late April it operated near Beelitz, but was pushed back to the Elbe river which was later crossed and they surrenderred to the Americans.
