Very nice and very rare Gebirgsjäger 'Wehrmachtsumpftarnmuster 44 Windbluse' or Gebirgsjäger 'Marsh 44 Camouflaged Reversible Anorak'
The 'Windbluse' or Anorak was intended for wearing over a uniform. It's executed in the so-called 'Wehrmachtsumpftarnmuster 44' camouflaged pattern, also called the 'Marsh 44' pattern. It's exactly tyhe same desing as the 'Marsh 43' pattern, the only difference is that the ‘patch’ pattern does not have sharp edges, but ‘blurred’ edges.
The Anorak shows overall signs of wear (has some stains, user wear and small field repairs). Overall a beautifull used but not abused patina. All the buttons (front, inside and arms for the 'erkennungsbänder') except for one (on the white/grey side) are present. It also has it's white drawstrings on the upper chest and the white waist drawstring. The 2 friction buckles to seal the cloth around the wrists are missing. It looks like the windbluse is marked on the overlapping wind flap (in the neck), but this is not readable anymore, due to wear.
Overall a beautiful, desirable and scarce Gebirsjäger Windbluse.
