Very nice and extremely rare ceramic made Panther tank or 'Panzerkampfwagen V' Sandkasten model.

These little tank models were produced and used by the German army on there sand tables or 'Sandkasten'. These 'sandkasten' were used both for mapping the tactical distribution of different units on the battlefield and for tactical instructions to young recruits.
Only a handfull of these little panzers survived the war. The length (including barrel) is approx. 9cm. The panzer is made from Ceramic and the barrel of wood. The model Is made by the manufacturer 'Goebel', hence it's logo on the bottom.
An excellent, scarce and sought-after display piece.
