The pendant is in overall very good condition. It shows normal signs of wear.
It's a pendant which has been issued to members of the 5. Schwere-Batterie Gebirgsjäger Regiment 98 which was formed in januari 1944. This regiment was part of the 157. Gebirgs-Division. In February 1945 the regiment became part of the 8. Gebirgs-Division untill the end of the war.
Not an easy to find pendant.
