Nice aluminium Wehrmacht Offizierslager related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served at the Offizierslager XI-A. This was a prisoner of war camp in Osterode, Poland. It was formed in 1939 for Polish officers. The first group of 1000 Polish officers arrived in October 1939. The camp was disbanned in August 1940 and the prisoners were transported to Oflag II-C
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
