The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to Rudolf Küppers who served at the Marinestation Nordsee. The 'KS’ means 'Küstendienst See, Seemännisches Personal'. He was drafted in the year 1941.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the sailor's bloodtype.
