The tag shows overall normal signs of wear. According to the book Deutschen Erkennungsmarken by Jean Hoïdal this tag belonged to Leutnant Hans Gerstacker. He was drafted in this unit before he became a member within the 8.Batterie Artillerie Regiment 334. This regiment was part of the 334.Infanterie-Division and saw combat in Afrika, Tunisia. Here it was captured in Mai 1943 by the British.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
