The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the Luftnachrichten Kompanie Fliegerhorst Berlin-Döberitz. This was a communication unit of the HQ of the Fliegerhorst Döbertiz which was situated near Berlin.
Fliegerhorst Döberitz was the home for many different Wehrmacht units, but mostly known for the training centre for pilots and the home base for Jagdgeschwader 132. From 1934 it was also used as training centre for Legion Condor.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
