Very nice zinc Wehrmacht Infanterie related tag in used, but very good condition.
The tag or Erkennungsmarke shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the Leichte Infanterie Kolonne Infanterie Regiment 641. This regiment was formed in March 1940 in the area of Tschenstochau (Poland) from Landesschützen units. It was part of the 351.Infanterie-Division. The regiment only exsisted a couple of months, because in August of the same year it was disbanned and used for different Wach-Bataillons.
A Leichte Infanterie Kolonne was the 'Versorgungseintheit' of the regiment and responsible for ammunition, food, etc.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
