The album shows overall normal signs of wear. It contains a total of 174 photographs (4 are missing). It belonged to a soldier who first served within the RAD and later served in the 5.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 57. This regiment was stationed in Marburg and was part of the 9.Infanterie-Division. There is one portrait of the soldier with a partial unit stamp on it that says '5.komp', hence the 5th companie. The division and her units saw combat during the invasion of Luxemburg,Belgium and France. Later it participated in the Russian campaign.
