The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a person who served within/at the Heeresmunitionsanstalt Urlau. This was a Wehrmacht Heers ammunitions depot in the area of Urlau. It stored regular ammunitions untill 1943 when they also began to store chemical substances.
After the war the complex was used by the Americans.
