The photograph shows overall no signs of wear. Complete with large caption on the back. It shows an unit building a so-called 'Schneehutte'. Note the white k98s! The caption on the back reads,'Biwak im Winter, Schneehutte'.
The size of the photograph is approx 12cm *17cm. Stamped on the back 'heereshochgebirgschule Fulpmes Lichtbildstelle'. At this school specialist skills in high mountain climbing, survival and combat were taught to a selecet number of Gebirgsjäger.
