The helmt shows overall normal signs of wear. It's complete with period placed liner and plastic chin strap. The more uncommon green color is fully present. Luftschutz helmets were issued in (different types of) blue, but also green. However the color green on this helmet has been applied at a later point. The blue color is under it as is the Luftschutz decal. In our opinions this was done period. Some say they did this for the Volkssturm members, but we can find any prove of it.
It's marked on the inside with lotnumber '1537', the maker initials 'hkp' and size '66'.
Interesting piece.
