Both the scope as the mount are in very good condition. The visibility of the lens is clear (hard to get a good picture of it, see the last photos). The '3 post reticle sight' is present. The scope is marked 'Z.F. 41/1', numer marked '2138' and maker marked 'dym', which means it's produced by 'Runge & Kaulfuss' (founded in 1920) from 'Rathenow'. Scopes from this maker are not easy to find and the engraved marking is typical for this maker.
The mount is maker marked with a three letter code 'duv' which means it's manufactured by 'Berlin-Lübecker Maschinenfabrik' and it has waffentamt inspection stamp 'e/214'. It's also marked 'K98k-Zf.41' on the outside.
The case is in near mint condition condition and contains all of its original tan colored paint. The outside is complete with its wide webbing belt strap and small metal/webbing pulling strap. The marked pulling strap works and stays in place, but no longer has its full tension.
The case is maker marked by 'jvb' ('Wessel & Müller, Beschlagfabrik') and 'WaA542' stamed. The inside is also in good condition and the case still contains it's wooden devider.
Overall a very and not so easy to find set.
Caution! Be careful when cleaning the lens as the recticule is always either painted or plated on the lens.
