The bow shows overall signs of use. The message reads 'Unseren lieben kameraden Wilhelm Kochner' (Our dear comrade Wilhelm Kochner) and 'Die letzten gruse der Rgt.-Stab-Pz-Lehr-Rgt.130' (The last greetings of the Rgt.-Stab-Pz-Lehr-Rgt.130).
Panzer Lehr Regiment 130 was formed in Januari 1944 in France and was part of the famous Panzer-Lehr-Division. The regiment was equipped with approx 101 Panzer IV's and 89 Panthers. The division and its unit saw its first combat during in Hungary untill March and was then moved back to France to make preparations for the expected Normandy campaign. It fought in the battle of Caen, Bayeux, Tilly-sur-Seulles and Saint-Lo. It suffered heavy losses during these battles. 
It was refit the months after and participated in the Ardennes offensive in December 1944 in the battle of Bastogne. After the Ardennes offensive it was refit again and participated in Operation Veritable. The division was captured by the Americans in the Ruhr pocket in April 1945.
The bow measures a size of approx 42cm x 37cm.
