The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the Technische Kompanie Flugzeugführerschule C19. This schule was formed in September 1941 in Ohlau. In late June 1944 the schule was redesignated to the III.Gruppe Nachtjagdgeschwader 102. This unit used the Messerschmitt Bf110.
