Very nice leather dienstglas lens cover with strap in used, but excellent condition.

Both the cover and strap show normal signs of use. The leather of both pieces is supple and solid. No weak spots. The lens cover is marked with a Polizei acceptance stamp and on the inside named of a Leutnant Peter. The Feldpostnummer '47886' which tells us the the Leutnant served in the 3.Kompanie Feldgendarmerie Abteilung 962. This unit was formed in February 1941 and was first put into action in Russia and from 1944 it saw combat in Italy as part of the 10.Armee until the end of the war.
