The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served the Fahrkolonne Abteilung der Luftwaffe 4/III. This unit was formed in 1942 and operated in Luftgau III. In the winter of 1943/44 it was disbanned.
The 4 'B's on both parts of the tag stand for the soldier's bloodtype. The 'T' stands for Tetanus.
