Ers.Batl.Ostland EKM and Shrapnel

This lot consist out of an erkennungmarke of a soldier that was in the Ersatz Bataillon Ostland and was wounded in early 1945 in Germany. He received shrapnel to the upper left arm. A röntgenphoto was taken in 1947 where you can clearly see the piece of metal. It was removed and the piece of shrapnel was kept as a souvenir and comes with the EKM and the photo. 
Ersatz Battaillon Ostland fell under the 545.Volks-Grenadier-Division and fought in Poland and in 1945 in Germany.
