Very nice Iron Cross 2nd Class award document in used, but excellent condition.
The document shows overall normal signs of wear. The medal was awarded on the 16th of July 1942 to Unteroffizier Willi Kramer who served within the 9.Kompanie Infanterie Regiment 111. This regiment was formed in October 1936 and was part of the 35.Infanterie-Division. This division saw its combat during the invasion of Belgium in May 1940 and then France.
In June 1941 it participated in the invasion of Russia and fought in areas like Smolensk, Moskau and Gshatsk. In October the regiment was renamed into Grenadier Regiment 111.
The document is signed by Generalmajor Rudolf Freiherr von Roman. He was wearer of the Deutsches Kreuz in Gold and Ritterkreuz mit Eichenlaub.
