Very nice Gebirgsjäger Officers Field Cap or 'Einheitsfeldmütze' in used but good condition.
The overall condition of this field cap is used but very good. It's shows normal signs of wear. It began its life as an M42 Einheitsfeldmütze (Schiffchen/Side Cap) and was converted to an Officers M43 Einheitsfeldmütze by adding a visor/valve and officer's piping to the crown. M42/43 conversions were common when the M43 became the standard field cap for most of the German army.
The cap is complete with its buttons and a scarce (privately purchased) Trapezoid Eagle. It has a nice worn Edelweiss on the left side.
The inside is also in used but good condition. Its size marked, but a bit hard to read, due to wear.
Overall a very nice field cap.
