The Rabbit is in undamaged condition, so clear of chips and cracks. It's nicely 'SS Allach' , '61' and and marked by the designer/artist 'T.Karner' on the bottom.
The porcelain factory 'Porzellan Manufaktur Allach' was established as a private company in 1935 in the town of 'Allach' (near München'). In 1936 the factory was acquired by 'Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler' to start producing works of art that would represent, in Himmler's eyes, true Germanic culture. It was even one of his favourite projects because of his well-known obsession with Aryan mysticism.
