The tag shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 4.(M.G.) Kompanie Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 122. This bataillon was formed in August 1939 as Grenz Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 122 and was part of the 50.Infanterie-Division. In December 1939 it was renamed into Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 122. It trained and supplied soldier to 3 different Infanterie Regiments 121,122 and 123 (later Grenadier Regiments), Jager-Regiment(L) 22, Fusilier Bataillon 50 and Festungs Maschinengewehr Bataillon 55.
The 'O' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
