The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The soldier served in the 4.Kompanie Heeres Unteroffiziers Schule für Infanterie Jauer. This unit was formed in April 1942. In late 1944 November it was renamed Heeres-Unteroffiziers-Schule 11 für Infanterie. In Januari/Februari 1945 the unit was put into action in Steinau on the Oder front.
The 'O' on both part of the tag stands for the soldiers bloodtype.
Nice and hard to find dog tag.
