The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in the 4.kompanie Reserve Füssilier Bataillon 202. This unit was formed in September 1939 in Güstrow as Infanterie Ersatz Bataillon 202. It trained and supplied soldiers for the 75.Infanterie-Division. In March 1944 it was renamed into Reserve Füssiliers Bataillon 202.
