Details

The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. The tag belonged to a soldier who was drafted in the 4.Kompanie Panzerabwehr Ersatz Abteilung 6. This abteilung was formed in August 1939 and was part of Division Nr.156. In September 1940 it was part of Division Nr.166. The abteilung trained and delivered soldiers for 29 different Panzerabwehr/Panzerjäger units, Panzerjagd Abteilungen and 1 Verkehrs-Regelungs-Bataillon.
The 'A' on both parts and both sides of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
