The album shows overall minor signs of wear. It an album that belonged to Luftwaffe Flak soldier Gerd Frauke. Gerd served in the 3.Batterie Flak Regiment 22. The I.Bataillon of Flak Regiment 22 was formed in April 1935 with 5 batteries and was stationed in Döberitz. It saw combat during the invasion of Poland and after that it participated in the invasion of France. After France it saw combat on the eastern front in Central Russia as part of Panzergruppe 2. From April 1942 untill the end of the war is was part of the 18.Flak Division. In the following years it saw action in the east in places like Orel and Brest-Litovsk. The album contains 96 photographs.Gerd survived the was and died in 22.12.1989.
