The Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen was awarded on the 5th of September 1944 to Paul who served in the 2.Kompanie Pionier Bataillon 26. It started the war in Belgium and after that in France. After France it saw action during the invasion of Russia. This bataillon has a very rich history that can be found online.
