Both the EKM as the pouch shows overall normal signs of wear. The leather of the pouch is supple and solid. The set belonged to a soldier who served in the 2.Kompanie Kradschützen Ersatz Bataillon 3. This bataillon was formed in November 1940 in Bad Freienwalde. The unit trained and supplied soldiers for Kradschützen Bataillon 3 which was formed in October 1935 and was part of the 3.Panzer-Armee.
