Very nice and rare 2.Kompanie Ersatz und Ausbildungs Regiment Hermann Göring dog tag in worn, but good condition.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows signs of wear. Its a well preserved, rock solid and cleaned grounddug. The soldier served in the 2.Kompanie Ersatz und Ausbildungs Regiment Hermann Göring. This bataillon started as Flak-Ersatz-Abteilung General Göring and moved in May 1940 to Utrecht (Holland). The regiment was stationed and trained in Utrecht and Hilversum. In March 1942 it was named Ersatz Bataillon Hermann Göring. In late 1942 it was named Ersatz und Ausbildungs Regiment Hermann Göring. In July 1944 it was renamed in Fallschirm-Panzer-Ersatz- und Ausbildungs-Regiment Hermann Göring.
In September 1944 the regiment was devided and absorbed and saw action in different Kampfgruppe. The different groups fought in Holland, Germany but also in the east.
