Nice aluminium Flakscheinwerfer related tag in used condition.
The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 2.Batterie Flakscheinwerfer (9-150cm) Abteilung 649. This abteilung was formed in late August 1939 in Duisburg as Reserve Flakscheinwerfer Abteilung 649. In August 1940 the unit moved to Fliegerhorst Soesterberg in Holland. In July 1942 the abteilung was renamed into Flakscheinwerfer Abteilung 649. Untill the end of 1943 the unit was stationed in Soesterberg and in the beginning of 1944 it moved to Lille, France. In August of the same year the abteilung moved back to Fliegerhorst Soesterberg and in the last stage of the war moved to Luftgau XIV.
The 'A' on both parts of the tag stands for the soldier's bloodtype.
The '(9-150)' stands for the 9th 150cm searchlight of this batterie.
On the back the soldier carved in his pownr. 'B347083' POW193'
