The tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows overall signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served within the 11.Batterie Flakscheinwerfer (9-150cm)(motZ) III.Abteilung Flak Regiment 14. The eabteilung of this regiment was formedi n November 1938. It operated in Germany. From January 1942 - January 1943 it was used to formed the II.Abteilung Flakscheinwerfer Regiment 2 which operated in Belgium and Holland. In November 1942 it moved to France and operated in the Caen area and in 1943 moved back to Germany to Luftgau VII.
The '(motZ)' on the tag stands for motorisiert mit Kraftzug and the '(9-150)' stands for the 9th 150cm searchlight of this batterie.
