The document is in very good condition. The Verwundetenabzeichen was awarded on 16th of October 1943 to Heinz who served in 1.Kompanie Panzer Pionier Bataillon 27. This regiment was formed in 1940 and was part of the 17.Panzer-Division. It saw combat since Juli 1941 on the eastern front in areas like Brjansk, Smolensk, Kiew, Orel,Don and Rostow. Later also in North Ukrain.
