The items belonged to Kanonier Kurt Büttchereit. The soldbuch is in well worn condition, but seems to be complete and the portrait of Kurt is present. In the middle some pages are partially loose.
The Arbeitsbuch is in excellent condition and has quite a lot of entries and shows nicely where Kurt worked before he enlisted.
Kurt started in the 5.Batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 241.
From December 1939 Kurt served in the 4.Batterie Leichte Flak Abteilung 837 untill the end of October 1942. This abteilung was stationed in Dusseldorf.
He then served, over a year, in the 2.Kompanie Luftwaffe Pionier Bataillon 18 which was formed end of November 1942 in France.
In late December 1943 Kurt served 7 months with the 1.Batterie Leichte Flak Abteilung 983 which was stationed in Narbonne, Southern France.
He then switched to the 6.Batterie Gemischte Flak Abteilung 343 which was stationed in Montélimar and Loriol in August 1944.
In September 1944 the 6.Batterie was used to for 5.Batterie Leichte Flak Abteilung 875 and was moved back to Western Germany and became part of Flak-Regiment Flakartillerieschule I (mot.) under the 13.Flak-Division.
The erkennungsmarke comes with a period string which also has a wooden piece attached that carries the Kurts name and the number 440020, which is probably a POW-number.
