Fl.Ausb.Regt.16 EKM (Russia)

Very nice Luftwaffe dogtag in good condition that belonged to a soldier that served a Kompanie of Flieger Ausbildungs Regiment 16. This regiment was formed in Januari 1942 in Schleswig. In August of that year the regiment was renamed into Flieger Regiment 16. In October the regiment was used to form Luftwaffen-Feld-Division 5. 
The Division saw combat in the Crimea area in late 1942 and in the year 1943 it saw combat in the Caucasus, Kuban and Melitopol. In Mai 1944 the Division was disbanned due to heavy losses. Remnants of the division where absorbed by different Infanterie-Divisions (304,320,335)
