The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The airport started as a small Dutch one, but after Holland was occupied by the Germans they enlarged it. It was situated on both Dutch (Venlo) as German (Herongen) Soil. Beh.E.Kdtr.Venlo became Fl.H.Kdtr.E Venlo which stands for Fliegerhorst Kommandantur (Einsatzhafen) Venlo.
Rare and hard to find dog tag.
