Nice worn dog tag from a soldier who served in the 4.Batterie Reserve Flak Abteilung 191 erkennungsmarke.
The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. The abteilung was formed in August 1939 with 5 batteries. 1-3 Schwere, 4 Leichte, 5 Scheinwerfer. In May 1940 it was put into action during the invasion of France and reached Dunkirk (France) were it stayed untill april 1941. In that same month it moved to Polesti (Rumania).
In April 1943 the unit was renamed in Schwere Flak Abteilung 191 and the 4th batterie was used to form 2.Batterie Leichte Flak Abteilung 507 and moved to Italy. To the area of Turin and in 1944/45 to Venice and Udine.
