The strap shows overall normal signs of wear. Complete with all, functional hardware. Its nicely unit marked, 2.Kompanie Pionier Bataillon 48. This bataillon was formed in October 1936 as Korps-Pionier-Bataillon. It saw combat during the invasion of Poland and after that in France. In October 1940 the 2.Kompanie was used to form another unit. The kompanie was rebuild immediately. After France is saw combat in the east in areas like France, Southern Russia (Kaukasus, Charkow) and Northern Ukrain (Brody, Lublin, Baranow). In December 1944 the bataillon was used to form the I.Bataillon of the Heeres Pionier Brigade 70.
