The dog tag or 'Erkennungsmarke' shows normal signs of wear. It belonged to a soldier who served in 1.Batterie Leichte Artillerie Ersatz Abteilung 5. The abteilung was formed in Augsut of 1939 in Ulm an der Donou. It trained and delivered soldiers for Artillerie Abteilung 671 and 7 different Artillerie Regiments. In Juli 1941 the abteilung moved to Besancon in France.
The 'B' on both parts of the tag stands for the bloodtype of the soldier.
